AML Compliance Officer Nomination
Pursuant to Section 21(2) of the FTR Act, financial institutions (including non-financial businesses and professions) must appoint a AML compliance officer. The AML Compliance Officer is responsible for AML compliance and implementing the requirements of the FTR Act and Regulations, FIU Directives and issued Policy Advisories or Enforceable Guidelines.
Furthermore, under FTR Regulation 31, is it required to notify the FIU of any changes or absence of the AML Compliance Officer.
You can nominate a new AML Compliance Officer by completing the Form 5 and submit to the FIU.
