The equipment were presented by Adrian Morton and Christopher Burgess of the Australian Federal Police and were received on behalf of the Fiji FIU by its Director, Razim Buksh.
The Director of the FIU, Razim Buksh, expressed the Fiji FIU’s appreciation for the donated video conference equipment. He said that the support from AUSTRAC was crucial in further strengthening key areas of the Fiji FIU’s operations and technical capacity. He further said that AUSTRAC’s ongoing support in enhancing IT and data analysis capabilities will better position the Fiji FIU in combating complex financial crimes, organised transnational criminal activities and money laundering in Fiji and the pacific region.
